• Essential for the formation of the passive layer is a clean surface free of foreign metals, which are removed by pickling products.
• With the use of a passivation agent, the passive layer is restored in a short time and over time will become thicker.
• After passivation, an optically clean appearance is obtained.
• The passivation agent RP can be applied by brushing, spraying or dipping.
• The exposure time is at least 20 min.
• After the exposure time, rinse with cold water, possibly with a high pressure cleaner if required.
• The passive layer is 0.06 – 0.08 m thin (for comparison , a human hair is 70 – 170 μm thick)
